Review : Barry M Lip Lacquer Crayon.

The newest lip product available from Barry M is the Lip Lacquer Crayon, They are a in a 'Jumbo Crayon' tube and come in a range of five different colours, priced at £4.95 each.

They Say ·

"These intense glossy crayons glide on to lips to give a high shine lacquered finish. The smooth and silky application provides maximum comfort while the bright and bold colours give a glamorous finish."

I have the Colour #2 Cherry Red and it is very intensely pigmented, moisturising and applies smoothly. This wasn't normally a colour I would go for, but I really like it, it is in between a bright pink / red colour and has lots of shimmer in it, In pictures it looks quite glittery but on the lips it is completely smooth feeling and not chunky at all, which is great.

The pigmentation really is amazing and the product just glides onto my lips and leaves a lovely glossy finish so there is no need for lip-gloss on top. It also lasts well too, I wore this today and it lasted for 2 - 3 hours before it started wearing away. I know that isn't ages, but I think it's impressive.

Because I don't wear bright lipstick that often I decided to play with this and put a nude colour on top, just to see the effect and I loved how it turned out. You will see below, it turned into a lovely mauve/pink toned down colour that is more wearable for me on a day to day basis.

I love the lip lacquer and certainly want to try some more, I have my eye on ballet pink next!
